With 25 years’ experience as a Careers Advisor at the UCT Careers Service, I specialise in helping matrics to understand their options and demystify institutional information so that they can make informed choices. I also assist students to understand employability skills, research their  career options and showcase their experience in applications and interviews. I have seen many of the young professionals I have mentored grow into key leadership positions in many industries, or successfully start their own businesses.

I highly value connection, diversity and authenticity and love connecting with the individuality of my clients. Helping them to explore their options and to understand and articulate their skills gives me immense satisfaction. 

My Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, History and English, Honours in English and a Higher Diploma in Education, are all from the University of Cape Town. In addition, I have an advanced certificate in Career Advice and Guidance.

I live in Claremont with my husband, two rescue dogs and two SPCA cats. My eldest daughter is a physiotherapist, and my youngest is doing Masters in Atmospheric Science at UCT. When I am not being a Careers' Advisor, I am a keen runner, an amateur cyclist, an avid reader, and love being creative in my home and garden.
